Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a special item that makes certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It's sometimes given as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide attribute bonuses or additional effects when the equipment is used. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with an upgrade slot available. Most upgrade components also require that the item being upgraded is at a certain level. Some upgrade items have special effects that can be seen when they are used. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, purchased from karma merchants or traded with other players on the Trading Post or taken from equipment, or acquired as rewards during games.
There are different upgrade components, each with various bonuses. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions, can be used with any kind of equipment, and offer smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, and enrichments are used to upgrade certain ascended back items. Most upgrade components can be replaced if they are slotted into an item, however doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias or enchantments, as well as prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel allows you to insert and view these special characters, along with common symbols like em and en dashes, as well being trademark symbols registered to be used.
Each Glyph gives an initial boost to the stats of the character. The glyph could also be equipped with up to four secondary stats that influence its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses are applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
Selecting the Glyphs and clicking "enchant" will activate them. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the item you have selected. Note that only the right type of Glyph can be applied to the selected item and every weapon, jewelry or armor piece may have a different set of available Glyphs.
Glyphs can be leveled up through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the area is, the more Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph reaches level 15 it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
When a Glyph is at the desired level you can activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The Glyph that is created will grant its stated benefit, and increase the number of nodes within its radius on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs where they will be most beneficial to your build, and that is why it's beneficial to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Some glyphs, however, may offer dual bonuses in the event that certain conditions are met which is why they're worth checking out for too.

You can narrow down the list of glyphs by choosing an option under "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the options to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of creating an account on a different account to increase your chances of getting a character or weapon you'd like. It is done to for you to increase your level faster or to obtain more valuable loot like a new weapon for your character. Many players play until the character they wish to play is available, regardless of strength. It could be that they like the design or personality of the character.
When you reroll, you need to ensure that the changes you are making are clean. item upgrading should test locally whether the patch is approved by the pre-commit test and run a core dev test. Upload the patch with a clear distinction to a problem (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls can be weeks or days long, depending on how lucky you are. During this time, it is recommended to avoid any optional enemy camps to avoid wasting time. Also, avoid repeating quests that can be completed later in the game. This can help you save time and energy.
When you reroll, it is essential to be aware the upgrade system. There are many ways to enhance your character's power and appearance. These can include upgrading your weapons, rerolling your characters and purchasing upgrades. It is also important to know the limitations of the system.
Rerolling may not be an absolute requirement however it can be an effective way to increase your chances of obtaining an item or character. It is a great option if you're looking for the most effective character in the game or if you want to test different styles of play and builds.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or members of a class). Sets are used for operations like intersection, union and distinction.
When you upgrade a set item, it is an entirely new version that is better than the previous one. For weapons and armor, this means it gains an increase in the base defense as well as an lower strength requirement, and an lower requirement for level.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets to parity with those in higher-level sets. Upgrades like Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired helmet can increase the defense from 217 to 321 and reduce the strength requirements and levels to an feasible range.
It's important to remember that not all items in a set can be upgraded. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Elite and Exceptional in their own right and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and are used frequently (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their performance. For these kinds of products, it might be worth the extra expense to upp them.
